We worked with this client a few years back to add a first floor onto their bungalow for some much-needed extra bedroom space. They came back to us in 2022 with some initial thoughts on an extension they were proposing. They wanted more space for their growing family and dedicated areas for some of the things they most enjoy – music and entertaining friends.
The plan was to extend full width across the back of the house on the ground floor, remodel the hallway to open it up, refresh parts of the existing house to blend them with the new extension, and add an integrated outdoor eating area with landscaping.

Making space for family & friends
We collaborated with the client to refine their ideas and share our own suggestions, while reworking the architect’s designs where necessary. Together, we developed final plans that met the client’s brief.
The client wanted to give their children some of their own space, so we added extra bedrooms and en-suites to the property. We also added a music room and worked on the family bathroom, bringing in the client’s specific design finishes throughout.
Putting the property’s large garden to good use, we created a unique outdoor space that was perfect for entertaining. We built a covered area complete with patio, fireplace and exposed brick for a cosy alcove in their garden.
