An end-terrace home that was deceptively spacious, our client wanted a complete internal refurbishment so they could rent out the property.

The aim was to keep things neutral, on-trend and finished to an extremely high standard, to attract quality tenants quickly. And, since our client wanted to get the property onto the market at a tight time scale, it was all hands on deck to achieve a beautiful home.

Once Union Road was open to tenants, it took less than a month to be snapped up.

Upgrading an end-terrace home from the inside-out

The focus of this renovation project was on the interior, with just light touch-ups to the outside and some layout configuration.

We got to work on creating a more open, inviting and liveable space. This involved bringing in light with brand-new Velux windows, and expanding the dining space by knocking down an area that was previously blocked up (and home to an old boiler). It was incredible to see how much potential this property really had.

Heronlake brought just about every element of the interior to life, handling the tiling, decorating, carpentry, plumbing and electrics. We also reconfigured the internal layout to maximise the space, including adding bathrooms and a newly-fitted kitchen.

Outside, we built a new door leading into the utility room, repaired and re-slated the roof, and re-laid the paving to make a stellar first impression.

Stand-out features of Union Road

At Union Road, modern features work in harmony with traditional elements that are in keeping with the old-town feel of Farnham. Talking points span from classic exposed brick fireplaces to decorative skirtings and coving on the ceiling. The outcome was a modern living space that would appeal to a wide base of renters, with just enough eye-catching features to ensure the property didn’t lose its personality.
