Vine House.

Location: Bramley

When a client loves their home and its location but feels it no longer meets the needs of their family, a whole-house upgrade may be the answer.

Our Vine House client wanted more space, with specific zones so the family could spend time together or relax separately as they wished. As sociable people, they wanted a space suitable for entertaining, so a new, up-to-spec kitchen was a priority.

Despite COVID-19 hitting during this project, and running into tricky access issues due to the property’s high street location, we were able to completely gut out, extend and upgrade the property in around 6 months.

“We would definitely use Heronlake Construction again, and would not hesitate to recommend them to others. Stuart and his team were all absolutely charming to deal with.

They were patient, knowledgeable and helpful at every stage of the project. Matt and Phil were superb site managers and worked so hard at everything with remarkable attention to detail and genuine care in our project.”

A creative approach to home living

Our client had a clear vision and we had some basic drawings as a foundation for this project. To bring that vision to life, our team had to think creatively. This was about more than building off a plan; it was about working around obstacles and coming up with out-of-the-box solutions.

We shaped the property to suit the client’s home living ideals. This involved a contemporary rear extension that worked harmoniously with the existing traditional-style building, and a full refurbishment throughout the rest of the home.

Varying ceiling heights made the job more intricate, but we blended the old with the new, using the low ceilings to our advantage and crafting a cosy snug area in the extension.

Heronlake took care of everything from the bathrooms to the patio and fitted furniture, and we worked alongside a third-party kitchen company for the “beating heart” of the home.

“Other contractors visiting the site remarked how easy all the team were to deal with and how unusually helpful they were. The result is amazing – great quality build, on time and on budget, and a superb finished project which we are proud to live in!”
