Sycamore Avenue.

Our Sycamore Avenue client approached us on a colleague’s recommendation.

The request was relatively simple: An extension to house a new lounge. This would give the adults their own space to read, relax and restore. The project itself was straightforward, but the client’s unique design choices made this one stand out for all the right reasons.

A space drenched in colour

The new extension became a space drenched in both colour and sunlight.

It was built from red zinc cladding and roofing, which matched the property’s existing hanging tiles. The addition gave the home a slightly industrial edge, without looking out of place – the earthy tones blended perfectly with the rest of the house.

Inside, the client chose a bold but calming colour scheme. And large patio doors invited a warming flood of light into the room.

Bringing the project home

With the client’s vision and planning already in play, Heronlake was trusted to finish the job to the highest standards.

We took care of the main structure and foundations, as well as the finishing touches. From the brickwork to the oak flooring, panelling, oak beams and vaulted ceilings (which added a greater sense of space), Heronlake turned the customer’s design into a reality.

We also built a patio area and internal cupboards – including an impressive drinks cabinet, perfect for entertaining.
